MEET OUR EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH – DAVID ARMSTRONG

We’re huge believers in recognising the hard work of our team and supporting local charities, which we bring together for our employee of the month initiative.
Each month we donate £10 per team member to a charity doing great things in the North East, as nominated by our employee of the month.

Our latest recognition went to David Armstrong who works in our Newcastle office as a case handling team manager. We sat down with David to find out more about the charity he is nominating on behalf of Allay and this is what we found out…

How long have you worked at Allay?
Three and a half years.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
As a case handling team manager, I deal with all claims in process from data subject access requests to having a decision from the lender.

Congratulations on being named employee of the month! What reason were you nominated for?
For my professionalism and helping others – it’s a great feeling to be nominated!

What is your chosen charity?
The Bradley Lowery Foundation.

What made you choose this charity?
Bradley was an inspiration to many and really touched the hearts of people in the North East and beyond. He always appeared to have an optimistic output and smile on his face. I hope that the money donated can make a real difference to the children and families it supports.

How will your charity use the money from Allay?
On equipment and treatment not provided by the NHS.

What did you want to be when you were younger?
Like a lot of young lads I wanted to be a footballer, and looked up to Alan Shearer and Gary Speed.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy food and socialising with friends.

If you were to win a PPI Case, what would you spend the money on?
I would use it to go on holiday – you only live once so you can’t have too many holidays in a year!
