Macmillan Cancer Support

Congratulations on being named an employee of the month! What reason were you nominated for?
Being happy and willing to help different departments with their work when required to, such as the invoicing for the invoicing team, and checking letters of authority we receive from clients.

I am responsible for making sure that PPI lender mail is responded to correctly once it’s been scanned onto the system. I’m also responsible for all the client mail which we receive, this includes responding to their queries and making sure the information that they send in reaches the lender when required.

My chosen charity is Macmillan Cancer Support.
I chose Macmillan Cancer Support as they supported my uncle when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, as well as supporting myself and other family members during that difficult time. They also do a lot of work in providing care and financial support to people affected by cancer.

Macmillan will use the money to help fund one of their many projects which they have ongoing. Such as their many centres across the UK which are designed to offer a friendly place to support people affected by cancer so they can still live their lives.

What do you like about working a Allay?
I enjoy how variable work can be. No two days are the same as there is always a new challenge which keeps everyone on their toes.

What did you want to be when you were younger?
When I was younger, I wanted to own a bakery. However, I’m not the most talented baker so I don’t think I would have got very far with that ambition!

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy travelling to different countries and exploring different cultures. I’ve recently got a map which you can scratch off where you’ve been, so my new goal is to one day travel the world so I can complete it.
